CELEBRATES SUCCESS OF FOURTH EDITION OF SALONPAS CUP WITH CUSTOMERS
SÃO PAULO – SP Everything was great and exceeded expectations. The fourth edition of the Salonpas Cup womenfs volleyball tournament could not have been better. And Hisamitsu, the pharmaceutical company sponsoring the event has reserved this Sunday (10), the day of the final to celebrate with its customers, at a party in the Ibirapuera gymnasium Honor Tribunal in São Paulo (SP). gSalonpas products are a success in 53 countries, and the tournament has strengthened our brandh, says the national sales and marketing manager, Reinaldo de Lima.
The Japanese company organized a completely unprecedented strategy for this edition. Every day of the event, it gave a cocktail party for one of its eight main customers in the state. These are the drugstore chains (Drogaria São Paulo, 2nd; Drogão, 4 th; Droga Raia, 7th; and Drogasil, 8th) and the distributors (Panarello, 3rd; Farmed, 5th ; Audifar, 6th; and Santa Cruz, 9th). gThis was the first time the Salonpas Cup involved customers directly in the tournament. It was a great experience and everyone loved it and want to know where the next one will beh, said Reinaldo. AS well as the VIP treatment, the customers also got media exposure. On the respective days of their cocktail parties, they had promotional banners on the court, and, in the final, each customer will be showing signs on the court with their brands.
gThe Salonpas Cup gave each of our partners great exposure. Their were no problems during the event, and we also managed to break the commercial climate. This will help future negotiations.h Reinaldo said that Hisamitsufs main wish was to bring all its partner. gWe have 87 active customers in Brasil, and what we most wanted was to bring all of them.h Another positive point was the stage for the show: the state of São Paulo, where we have 47% of product sales. gIt was a challenge to fill up this gymnasium, because all the previous edition were held in the Northeast, where it is easier to bring in public. It became clear to all that the company is not just interested in selling, but also in promoting the health of the Brazilian peopleh, Reinaldo concluded.

News: Press Conference heats up Salonpas
Cup
The Salonpas Cup opened with a press conference for journalists from a wide range of media, stepping up the coverage of the tournament.
Opening
the conference, Mr. Haruki Kubo, president of Hisamitsu Pharmaceutical Co. in
Brazil said that this should be the best ever edition of the Salonpas Cup and
requested the collaboration and support of everyone in order to make the
tournament a success.
At the table there were the coaches from all the teams, with the exception of Rexona/Ades, which was represented by the assistant coach Hélio Ricardo Griner. Bernardinho was only able to arrive some hours later and too late to take part. All the trainers were very enthusiastic about the tournament and about the high level of the players participating.
The USC Munster coach declared that he know very little about Brazilian volleyball but that he knew that Brazilian players are of a very high level and receive many awards. He went on to say that the team was very happy to be taking part in the Salonpas Cup, especially since they were the only European team in the competition.
Both José Roberto Guimarães and Hélio Ricardo Griner denied that their teams were the favorites to win the tournament. Both declared that it was still too early to start talking about which teams are best and which worst, all the more so since many of the players had just returned from holidays and had started training just in the last few days.
